Job summary

FinOps Weekly is seeking a Lead FinOps Engineer to champion cost-aware cloud design in a globally distributed environment. You will design automation to optimize Azure costs, scale infrastructure safely, and partner with Finance, Product and Engineering to quantify financial impact.

Responsibilities include building robust CI/CD pipelines, implementing IaC with Terraform and Harness, and delivering self-service reporting to empower decentralized teams while driving sustainable cloud practices.

Qualifications

• Understanding FinOps principles (Inform, Optimize, Operate) in large Azure environments.
• Experience with IaC tools like Terraform and version control (Git).
• Strong communication and stakeholder influencing in a DevOps setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of automation workflows to boost cost optimization and resource efficiency in Azure.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure using IaC (Git, Terraform, Harness).
• Partner with Finance, Product, and Engineering to translate architecture into cost impacts and trade-offs.
• Develop self-service reporting and granules of visibility using Azure Billing data for decentralized teams.
• Promote right-sizing, autoscaling, and idle-resource termination to sustain lean cloud ops.
