Job summary

Randstad Construction & Property are seeking a Finishing Manager for a short-term, one-week cover on a high-volume new-build residential development in Rugeley, Staffordshire. You will drive the final handovers, coordinating with trade subcontractors to meet snagging and handover standards on schedule.

Working alongside the lead Site Manager, you will manage sub-contractors on finishings, carry out snagging and inspections, maintain strict site health and safety, and lead toolbox talks as

Qualifications

• Proven track record as an Assistant Site Manager or Finishing Manager on new-build residential housing schemes.
• Valid CSCS Card (Black or White essential).
• SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
• Valid First Aid at Work certificate.
• Eye for detail and strong trade-management skills to hit the ground running.

Responsibilities

• Managing sub-contractors on plot finishings, paintwork, joinery, and final cosmetics.
• Carrying out detailed snagging lists and ensuring swift remediation of outstanding defects.
• Maintaining strict site health and safety standards.
• Conducting daily site inductions and toolbox talks if required.

Job Title: Finishing Manager (1-Week Cover)

Pay Type: Umbrella or PAYE Only

Duration: 1 Week (5 Days)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Finishing Manager for a short-term, 1-week holiday cover starting this Monday on a high-volume new-build residential development in Rugeley.

You will be stepping in to drive the final stages of plot handovers, working closely with trade subcontractors to ensure high-quality snagging and handover standards are met on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing sub-contractors on plot finishings, paintwork, joinery, and final cosmetics.

• Carrying out detailed snagging lists and ensuring swift remediation of outstanding defects.

• Maintaining strict site health and safety standards.
