Job summary

McLaren Resourcing LLP is seeking an experienced Finishing Manager to join a major industrial/commercial fit-out project on a site in Carlisle (CA6). The role runs 08:00–17:00, five days a week, with start ASAP and a 2–4 week notice for the right candidate.

The project is valued at around £20 million and the Finishing Manager will lead on-site finishes and subcontractor coordination. You will manage fit-out subcontractors, coordinate multiple trades, maintain high Health & Safety standards,

Qualifications

• Extensive experience managing fit-out subcontractors.
• Strong background in industrial/commercial fit-out.
• Ideally 20+ years' solid fit-out experience.
• CSCS - essential
• SMSTS - essential

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate fit-out subcontractors on site.
• Coordinate multiple trades within an industrial/commercial construction environment.
• Maintain exceptionally high standards of health & safety.
• Monitor quality and ensure works meet required standards ahead of client sign-off.
• Manage the finishing programme and provide regular progress updates.
• Report issues and progress directly to the Fit-Out Project Manager.
• Act as a strong site presence supporting the Project Manager.
• Work closely with the MEP Manager to coordinate fit-out and MEP activities.

Start Date: ASAP - 2-4 weeks' notice considered for the right candidate

Hours: 08:00 - 17:00

Working Pattern: 5 days per week, site-based

Project Value: Circa £20 million

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Finishing Manager to join a major industrial/commercial construction and fit-out project valued at approximately £20 million.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate fit-out subcontractors on site.
• Coordinate multiple trades within an industrial/commercial construction environment.
• Maintain exceptionally high standards of health & safety.
• Monitor quality and ensure works meet required standards ahead of client sign-off.
• Manage the finishing programme and provide regular progress updates.
• Report issues and progress directly to the Fit-Out Project Manager.
• Act as a strong site presence supporting the Project Manager.

Fit-Out Scope

Substation installation experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Finishing Manager who can hit the ground running and take ownership of the programme, quality and H&S at site level.

They will have extensive hands-on experience managing fit-out subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades within large-scale industrial or commercial projects. Strong practical experience is highly valued, with a preference for someone who has a proven track record of delivering complex fit-out works rather than relying solely on formal qualifications.
