Job summary

The FR Group is seeking a Freelance Finishing Manager to oversee the final trades on a construction project. This hands-on role focuses on delivering high-quality finishes and a smooth handover to the client.

You will manage painting, decorating, flooring, carpentry, and snagging, coordinate subcontractors, supervise snagging inspections, and ensure on-site health and safety compliance.

Immediate start available on a fast-paced, high-quality project with potential for contract extension.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Finishing Manager on construction projects.
• Valid CSCS card is essential.
• SMSTS or SSSTS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee finishing trades including painting, decorating, flooring, carpentry and snagging.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors to ensure timely completion.
• Carry out detailed snagging inspections and resolve defects promptly.
• Maintain high standards of quality control across finishing works.
• Work with Site Manager and Project Manager to meet deadlines.
• Ensure health & safety regulations are followed on site.
• Assist with final handover and client inspections.
