We often work with senior stakeholders such as Chief Risk Officers, Chief Compliance Officers and Chief Operating Officers, to deliver risk management capabilities that are tailored to the individual characteristics of the client and the risk sophistication of the Board of Directors.
The work we do supports clients in navigating the regulatory agenda, so keeping up to date with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and Prudential Regulatory Authority (PRA) is a key part of the role.

The project-based nature of the role offers diverse experiences and means that you will be constantly meeting new people, requiring you to build strong relationships with colleagues across Deloitte and clients. No two projects and no two clients are the same, therefore getting up to speed with a client’s organisational structure, requirements, supporting operations and risks is key. Success requires an eye for detail, good time management, eagerness to learn, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
At Deloitte we recognise how important face-to-face interaction is for your development in a new role. We also understand that our people need flexibility, which is why we operate a hybrid system, with a combination of office and home working. If you’re in a client-facing role, you might be expected to attend client sites on certain days, while your meetings will be a mix of online and in-person events. Please note your final assessment and induction will also be in-person, to give you the opportunity to network and build relationships.
All our work spaces are accessible, however, if you require further flexibility due to a health condition or caring responsibilities, please discuss this with our team. You can find further information on our parent and carer policies here.
An important part of your personal development is ensuring we give you the opportunity to complete both internal and external training. The completion of training will help both your technical and soft skills. You will complete a qualification with the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) – Level 4 UK Regulation and Professional Integrity and Level 6 Regulation and Compliance – to attain relevant technical knowledge for your role with us. You will also have access to Deloitte-wide courses, including innovation, solutions and sector‑specific training.
No prior regulatory knowledge is required, however a broad interest in current affairs and the financial services sector is helpful.
