Financial Reporting Manager - 12 month fixed term contract

Location: City of London (3 days a week in office - hybrid)

A global securities and commodities broker with a sound balance sheet and growth trajectory is seeking a Financial Reporting Manager to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and delivery of high-quality consolidated Group Annual, interim, and quarterly accounts under IFRS and listed company standards.
• Prepare annual financial statements for various entities under standards such as IFRS, US GAAP, and FRS 102.
• Oversee the production of subsidiary financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
• Ensure deliverables from the Legal Entity Control team meet organizational standards.
• Manage the timetable for financial statement delivery.
• Prepare technical accounting papers for external auditors.
• Support non-financial reporting obligations.
• Review and improve the governance of the Group's corporate reporting.
• Liaise with the technical accounting team on new standards.
• Review monthly legal entity income statements and balance sheets.
• Handle ad-hoc inquiries from external auditors.
• Develop and enhance reporting processes.
• Integrate new acquisitions into reporting cycles.
• Design and implement a world-class control environment.
• Contribute to improving the control environment and support the wider Finance team.
• Review and challenge existing processes to drive improvements.

Candidate Profile

• Big 4 audit experience preferred but not mandatory, ideally within commodities, brokerage, equities, banking, or financial services.
• Experience in preparing audited financial statements under UK GAAP, IFRS, or FRS 102.
