About Our Client

Financial Reporting Manager - 12 month fixed term contract

Banking & Financial Services, City of London (3 days a week in office - hybrid)

Job Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the preparation and delivery of high-quality consolidated Group Annual, interim, and quarterly accounts under IFRS and listed company standards.
2. Prepare annual financial statements for various entities under standards like IFRS, US GAAP, FRS102.
3. Oversee the production of subsidiary financial statements, ensuring compliance with applicable standards.
4. Ensure deliverables from the Legal Entity Control team meet organizational standards.
5. Manage the timetable for financial statement delivery.
6. Prepare technical accounting papers for external auditors.
7. Assist with non-financial reporting obligations.
8. Review and improve corporate reporting governance and processes.
9. Coordinate with the technical accounting team on standards implementation.
10. Review monthly legal entity income statements and balance sheets.
11. Handle ad-hoc inquiries from auditors.
12. Develop and enhance reporting processes.
13. Integrate new acquisitions into reporting cycles.
14. Design and implement a robust control environment.
15. Contribute to overall financial control team improvements.

The Successful Candidate:

1. Experience with Big 4 audit is preferred but not mandatory; experience in commodities, brokerage, equities, or banking is advantageous.
2. Experience in preparing audited financial statements under UK GAAP, IFRS, or FRS 102.
