Job summary

The City of Fort Worth is seeking a Financial Reporting Coordinator in the Financial Management Services Department/Accounting and Financial Reporting Division to oversee GAAP-compliant financial reporting, asset accounting, and the preparation of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR).

The role supervises two Senior Financial Reporting Analysts, coordinates the annual independent audit, supports external auditors, and helps ensure timely year-end close with opportunities for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related field from an accredited college or university.
• Four years of increasingly responsible accounting/auditing experience.
• Two years of financial reporting responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff of two Sr Financial Reporting Analysts.
• Coordinates the annual independent audit and supports external auditors.
• Assists in preparing the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) in GAAP or GFOA guidelines.
• Establishes and documents policies for year-end close and audit; ensures compliance and improvements.
