Job summary

Sharp Consultancy is recruiting a Financial Reporting Accountant in Bradford to join an established finance team. You will own monthly reporting, assist with close processes, and support statutory accounts and audits.

The role offers hybrid working and a pathway to grow into a broader financial accounting function across a global business. A practice background and strong Excel skills are preferred, with study support and healthcare benefits available.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or finalist.
• Experience in accounts preparation and/or audit within practice.
• Comfortable with financial statements and month-end processes.
• Strong technically, with good attention to detail.
• Confident using Excel and accounting systems.
• Keen to develop a long-term career in industry.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and reviewing monthly financial reporting.
• Supporting month-end and year-end close.
• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances.
• Supporting statutory accounts and audit requirements.
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting.
• Producing financial analysis and commentary.
• Working with colleagues across the European finance function.
• Supporting improvements to reporting, processes and controls.
• Helping to ensure financial information is accurate, timely and commercially useful.

We are currently recruiting for a Financial Reporting Accountant position with a well-established and growing business in Bradford.

You’ll join an established finance team and play a key role in the preparation of accurate financial information, month-end reporting and statutory accounts, while working closely with colleagues across this global business.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone from an accountancy practice background, or a more technically minded accountant from industry, who wants to take ownership of a broad financial accounting role.

Key responsibilities will include;
