Yorkshire Housing in Leeds is seeking a Finance Leader to head the Finance Business Partnering team during a major transformation, including a new finance system and enhanced self-service capabilities.
You will shape planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting, partnering with senior stakeholders to drive smarter financial decisions and commercial value across the business. This is an agile homeworking role with Leeds-based collaboration when needed.
Ready to lead an exciting change journey and reshape how finance supports YH? You'll lead our Finance Business Partnering team at an exciting time as we reset the service we provide through the introduction of a new finance system. You'll build brilliant relationships, champion self-service and enable the team to spend more time delivering the commercial insight our leaders need. We're looking for a forward-thinking, inspiring leader who can communicate with clarity, bring people with them and turn innovation into smarter ways of working. With plenty of talent to unlock and exciting times ahead, this is your chance to create a finance service that makes a real difference across YH.
We believe work is something you do, not somewhere you go so if you want to work for a company who are truly flexible and where you are valued then this could be the role for you!
You might think of Yorkshire Housing as 'just' a housing provider, but we're so much more than that. Yes, we own and manage nearly 20,000 homes (and counting) across Yorkshire and make it possible for current and future customers to have a place they're proud to call home, but we're also all about making a positive difference in people's lives. We've got big plans to overhaul the traditional customer service offer, build new homes that are truly future-proof and empower our people through flexibility and freedom to do their best work. Our investment in technology is a key pillar of our strategy and our change team are working on exciting, complex and ambitious programmes to deliver a pre-emptive customer experience – who wouldn't want to be a part of that?
By shaping our business plan, strengthening financial resilience and giving leaders clear commercial insight, you'll help YH make confident investment decisions and deliver more for our customers and communities.
Want to know more about your next challenge?
Reporting to the Head of Treasury & Financial Planning, you'll lead a team of Finance Business Partners and Analysts, providing strategic financial support that helps Yorkshire Housing deliver its ambitions. As we continue to transform our finance function through the introduction of a new finance system and enhanced self-service capabilities, you'll play a key role in shaping how financial support is delivered across the business. You'll lead our business planning, budgeting and forecasting activities, ensuring leaders have the insight they need to make informed decisions and drive performance. Alongside this, you'll help evolve our approach to financial reporting, modelling and decision support, enabling the team to focus on delivering greater commercial value and forward-looking insight.
This is an opportunity to help redefine the relationship between finance and the wider business. You'll work closely with stakeholders across Yorkshire Housing, embed new ways of working, champion continuous improvement and support the next phase of our transformation journey, including enhancements to planning, modelling and performance reporting. It's a highly visible role with the opportunity to influence strategic decisions, develop a talented team and build on an already strong finance service, helping it deliver even greater impact across Yorkshire Housing.
