Job summary

Stream is a London-based fintech offering fair financial tools to workers, with a hybrid London office presence. We seek a Financial Crime Analyst to review KYC/AML, monitor transactions, and conduct due diligence to meet UK laws. You’ll work with MLRO and Compliance and join a team of 300+ across Europe and the USA.

The role involves architecting integrations, onboarding new clients, and platform optimisation using Python, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and AWS. Hybrid work and equity are included.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of KYC, financial crime or AML experience within a Fintech or financial services firm.
  • Knowledge of UK regulatory frameworks related to financial crime (AML, KYC, Fraud and Sanctions regimes).
  • Experience managing transaction monitoring and screening alerts across multiple financial products (Card, Loans and Savings).
  • Proficiency in using financial crime detection tools and software (Onfido, ComplyAdvantage, DowJones, CIFAS) and open source intelligence.
  • Understanding of and interest in Fintech, consumer credit, savings, and financial services regulation desirable.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, develop, and test code that integrates with third-party payroll, HR and WFM systems.
  • Support the onboarding of new clients by configuring them onto existing integration frameworks.
  • Maintain and enhance the current integrations platform, driving broader system-level optimisations.
  • Within the first 6 months you’ll have developed a strong understanding of our domain, integrated multiple clients as the lead engineer, and contributed to the technical evolution of the integrations platform.

This Role:

The Financial Crime analyst role is part of our Financial Crime team. The Financial Crime Analyst is responsible for reviewing Know Your Customer (“KYC”), Anti-Money Laundering (“AML”), Transaction Monitoring and fraud due diligence checks on our customers and their transactions to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and UK regulations and to safeguard Stream against financial crime risk. The Financial Crime Analyst will report into our Financial Crime Manager and work closely with our MLRO and Compliance teams.

What will you be doing:
  • Working with our Solutions Team and Delivery Managers to architect, develop, and test code that integrates with third-party payroll, HR and WFM systems

  • Support the onboarding of new clients by configuring them onto existing integration frameworks

  • Maintain and enhance the current integrations platform, driving broader system-level optimisations

Within the first 6 months you’ll have developed a strong understanding of our domain, integrated multiple clients as the lead engineer, and contributed to the technical evolution of the integrations platform.

The key technologies we use are Claude Code, Python, PostgreSQL, Snowflake and AWS.

What experience might you have? (But if you’re close… we‘d still love to talk to you!)
  • Minimum 2 years of KYC, financial crime or anti-money laundering experience within a Fintech or financial services firm.

  • Knowledge of UK regulatory frameworks related to financial crime (e.g., AML, KYC, Fraud and Sanctions regimes).

  • Experience managing transaction monitoring and screening alerts across multiple financial products (Card, Loans and Savings).

  • Proficiency in using financial crime detection tools and software (Onfido, ComplyAdvantage, DowJones, CIFAS) and open source intelligence.

  • Understanding of and interest in Fintech, consumer credit, savings, and financial services regulation desirable.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.

  • Excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills.

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Hybrid Working:

Ability to work from our London office 3 days a week, blending with remote work.

Salary:

Dependent on experience and seniority, ranging from £40,000 to £55,000, plus an equity vesting schedule in one of the world's fastest growing FinTechs.
