Job summary

MFK Recruitment partners with a rapidly growing energy technology business to recruit a Financial Controller in Mayfair, London. Hybrid role with three days per week in the office, offering significant ownership and direct exposure to the CEO and leadership team.

The role will lead cashflow, budgeting, forecasting, audit coordination and regulatory reporting, while driving AI-enabled finance enhancements and scalable processes as the company grows.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with at least five years of professional finance experience.
• Experience coordinating external audits.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to lead a growing function.
• Interest in AI-enabled accounting and automation.

Responsibilities

• Develop short and medium-term cashflow forecasts reflecting energy markets.
• Manage working capital, liquidity, credit cover and collateral.
• Own payments function with robust controls.
• Coordinate year-end audit with external auditors.
• Lead budgeting, rolling forecasts and financial modelling.
• Drive transition to new accounting platform and AI-enabled workflows.
• Build and lead the internal finance team.
