Job summary

Adecco is seeking an experienced Accountant to lead hands-on financial control across its group entities at a pivotal development stage. You will own daily control tasks, drive a robust monthly close, and prepare consolidated cash flow forecasts while supporting audits and tax work.

The role requires qualified status with UK GAAP expertise, strong balance sheet control, and excellent stakeholder communication to enable informed decisions and scalable growth across international operations.

Qualifications

Qualified accountant with post-qualification experience in financial control and reporting.
Experience with multi-entity financial control and consolidation is required.
Strong technical accounting knowledge under UK GAAP (FRS 102) and audits.

Responsibilities

Own day-to-day financial control across group entities, including bank, ledger, and reconciliations.
Drive monthly close with clear management accounts and commentary at all levels.
Prepare consolidated cash flow forecasts and manage intercompany activity.
Support statutory audits and liaise with auditors during fieldwork.
Maintain fixed asset register, depreciation, additions and disposals.
Enhance internal controls and month-end routines with proper segregation of duties.
Prepare monthly management accounts with KPI analysis and variances.
Review transactions to explain material variances and trends.
Support VAT, payroll filings, corporation tax, and statutory reporting.
Contribute to year-end consolidation and disclosures, including intercompany arrangements.
