Job summary

Unknown Charity in London is seeking a Group Financial Controller to lead the financial reporting cycle across a multi-entity Group. You will report to the FD, own monthly management accounts, group consolidation and budgeting while coordinating with auditors, banks and regulators.

You will manage a Bookkeeper and drive robust financial controls across UK and international subsidiaries, translating complex data into actionable insights for senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACMA/ACCA) with experience in multi-entity/multi-subsidiary environments.
• Experience preparing Group consolidated statutory accounts.
• Charity sector experience preferred but not essential.
• Strong communication and staff management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and quarterly VAT returns.
• Review and reconcile balance sheets, including intercompany balances.
• Prepare annual budgets and Group consolidated statutory accounts.
• Manage and develop the Bookkeeper.
• Liaise with auditors, banks, regulators and other consultants.
• Maintain financial controls, systems and compliance across the Group.
