Job summary

Ad Warrior Ltd in Lincoln is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting and internal controls within a growing business. You will manage a small finance team and partner with the Head of Finance to provide timely, accurate financial information.

The role covers month-end processes, statutory accounts, audit liaison, cash flow management and improving processes.

Qualifications

• ACCA/ACCA/CIMA qualification and certified accountant.
• Strong management accounts and statutory reporting experience.
• Experience with year-end accounts and external audits.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of weekly/periodic financial reporting; ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Drive improvements to financial reporting processes and data capture.
• Develop trend and variance analysis for P&L components.
• Oversee month-end processes and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Review P&L, balance sheet and cash flow; explain variances to budgets and prior year.
• Improve consistency between weekly flash reports and month-end results.
• Lead year-end statutory accounts process and liaise with auditors.
• Oversee Corporation Tax, VAT and R&D tax compliance.
• Manage rolling 13-week cash flow forecast including capex and working capital.
• Analyse variances between forecast and actual cash flow.
• Oversee capital expenditure process and post-investment reviews.
• Support six-month reforecasting and annual budgeting cycles.
• Coach and develop a team of five finance professionals.
