Job summary

Strata, a Midlands-based brand experience agency, seeks a Financial Controller to lead the day-to-day finance function across multiple sites. You will ensure robust financial controls, accurate monthly and year-end reporting, and strong partner relationships with senior leadership.

You will manage cash flow, budgeting, audits, and compliance, while mentoring the finance team and driving process improvements across the group.

Qualifications

• Fully/newly qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
• Experience in financial control or senior finance role.
• Strong accounting knowledge and statutory reporting experience.
• Experience leading a finance team.
• Experience with multi-entity organisations preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare management accounts, reconciliations, cash flow reporting and variance analysis.
• Support statutory accounts and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain internal controls and reporting integrity.
• Manage cash flow aligned with working capital requirements.
• Assist budgeting and reforecasting processes.
• Liaise with auditors, tax advisers and external stakeholders.
• Mentor finance team across operating companies.
• Drive process improvement and automation across finance functions.
• Provide financial insight to senior management and support commercial decisions.
