Job summary

Finatal is partnering with a private equity-backed consulting business in West Yorkshire to appoint a Financial Controller. The role is the CFO's trusted number two, leading the day-to-day finance function and partnering with senior leadership on growth initiatives.

The successful candidate will own month-end close, financial controls, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow management and support acquisitions and finance transformation as the business scales.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA designation.
• Experience in fast-paced, evolving environments with PE exposure preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the finance team, driving performance and continuous improvement.
• Own the month-end close process and ensure timely management reporting.
• Maintain strong financial controls, governance and compliance across the organisation.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management processes.
• Partner closely with operational and commercial stakeholders across the business.
• Provide insight and analysis to support strategic decision-making and value creation initiatives.
• Support acquisition activity, integrations and wider finance transformation projects as required.
• Act as deputy to the CFO and shape the future direction of the finance function.
