Job summary

Aberdeen plc is seeking a Financial Controller to support the Group Financial Reporting and Control team from Edinburgh, coordinating financial governance for Luxembourg entities. You will deliver financial reporting, statutory accounts and regulatory submissions, working with auditors and advisers to strengthen controls and processes.

The role requires a qualified accountant with IFRS/GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel skills and experience with Oracle.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with IFRS/GAAP knowledge and strong financial reporting background.
• Excellent analytical skills with advanced Excel and confidence using Oracle and financial systems.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for diverse stakeholders.
• Audit background is desirable.
• French language skills are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly financial reporting packs and statutory accounts for Luxembourg entities.
• Deliver statutory accounts, regulatory returns, and board reporting materials within deadlines.
• Review P&L and balance sheet information for accuracy and robust controls.
• Collaborate with Tax, Finance Operations and external providers on compliance and transfer pricing.
• Support budgeting, profitability analysis and process improvements across the finance function.
• Build strong relationships with EMEA finance teams and support ad hoc projects.
