Job summary

Aberdeen is seeking a senior finance leader based in Edinburgh to head the UK Financial Reporting and Control team. You will lead legal entity reporting, financial control, statutory accounts and regulatory reporting, while managing external audits and driving improvements. The role offers exposure to board and regulators and requires strong leadership and IFRS expertise to strengthen governance and controls across the group.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in financial reporting and control.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and UK statutory reporting.
• Proven ability to engage at board, executive and senior management level.

Responsibilities

• Lead UK Financial Reporting and Control across Aberdeen's UK entities.
• Own delivery of UK legal entity reporting, financial control and statutory accounts.
• Manage regulatory reporting and external audit relationships.
• Provide technical accounting leadership and strategic insight.
• Drive complex change programmes and automation to improve efficiency and controls.
• Translate strategic priorities into measurable outcomes.
• Maintain robust balance sheet governance and reporting controls.
• Oversee changes to accounting, regulatory and reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to challenge and improve performance.
