Aberdeen plc in Edinburgh is seeking a Financial Reporting & Control Analyst to support month-end reporting, statutory and regulatory filings, and internal control activities. You will work with Financial Controllers, Finance Operations and external auditors to ensure accurate financial data and compliant reporting.

The role offers exposure to forecasting, budgeting and financial planning, with development opportunities under experienced professionals in a blended working environment.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified accountant studying towards a recognised accounting qualification.
• Understanding of accounting principles, financial statements and month-end reporting.
• Experience in financial analysis or finance operations.
• Ability to analyse financial information and present clear commentary.
• ERP exposure such as Oracle is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Support monthly legal entity financial analysis, including statutory and regulatory reporting, P&L and balance sheet commentary.
• Prepare balance sheet reviews, reconciliations and supporting analysis to maintain strong financial control and data integrity.
• Assist with statutory accounts, regulatory returns and audit deliverables.
• Support technical accounting, local GAAP analysis, tax balances and entity-specific disclosures.
• Contribute to forecasting, budgeting and financial planning processes, explaining key movements and trends.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting efficiency, documentation and use of financial data.
