My client is a successful, global manufacturing business seeking a Financial Controller to oversee global business operations, manage budgeting, forecasting, and ensure compliance with US GAAP and SOX. The role requires experience in controlling, accounting, and management accounts, with strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel, while offering opportunities for career development within a market-leading company.

Description

1. Collaborate with key stakeholders to oversee the global business operations.
2. Lead the preparation of the annual budget and monthly financial forecasts for P&L and balance sheet.
3. Manage the monthly consolidation process and ensure compliance with UK statutory reporting requirements.
4. Ensure full compliance with US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), and corporate policies.
5. Partner with the UK corporate office on tax-related matters.
6. Guide and support both internal and external audit activities.
7. Drive enhancements in month-end closing, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), and compliance procedures.
8. Contribute to achieving both the short-term and long-term business objectives.
9. Provide assistance with ad-hoc requests from division or corporate leadership.

Profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Experience in U.S. GAAP and SOX compliance
• Manufacturing experience with a strong grasp of financial reporting, inventory management, and overhead rates
• Prior UK controlling experience and team management
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) are a must

Job Offer

Salary: £80K-£95k, depending on experience
