Job summary

ACCA Careers seeks a Finance Controller to oversee financial reporting, budgeting and controls. You will report to the Finance Director and lead a finance team in a globally expanding, ESG-conscious manufacturing environment.

The role is site-based in Lutterworth, offering strategic influence, collaboration with senior management and a clear path toward Finance Director as the business relocates to its new HQ.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA
• Industry experience in manufacturing or construction advantageous
• Strong knowledge of accounting, financial reporting and regulatory requirements
• Strong double-entry bookkeeping and financial transaction accuracy
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide actionable financial insights
• Proficient in financial systems and advanced Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly

Responsibilities

• Deputise for the Finance Director as required
• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting in line with accounting standards and company policies
• Manage periodic financial reporting to Group HQ
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Monitor cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity
• Ensure compliance with tax, audit, statutory and regulatory requirements
• Maintain robust financial controls and safeguard data integrity
• Drive cost management, profitability and operational efficiency
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making
• Partner with senior management, department heads, auditors and external advisors
• Lead, develop and performance-manage the finance team
• Continuously improve financial systems, processes and controls

The Finance Controller will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. You will report directly to the Finance Director and be responsible for managing a dedicated finance team.
