Job summary

Equifind, a Private Credit focussed investment group in the West End of London, is seeking a Financial Controller to own the finance function across multiple entities.

This newly created, senior role reports to the CFO and carries day-to-day responsibility for reporting, analysis and stakeholder management across lending, brokerage, real estate and operating assets.

You will lead the audit process, develop systems and controls, and support growth with robust financial platforms.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with senior finance experience.
• Commercial mindset to interpret performance, risk and returns.
• Confident engaging with senior stakeholders (lenders, auditors, advisers).
• Proactive, solutions-driven and capable of independent operation.
• Strong attention to detail and understanding of broader business context.
• Experience in financial services and multi-entity environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and run the finance function across the Group.
• Own Board and investor reporting, including narrative, analysis and drivers.
• Drive commercial portfolio analysis across deals, borrowers and investors.
• Manage relationships with advisers, lenders and external service providers.
• Lead financial delivery on development activities (drawdowns, covenants, monitoring).
• Own forward-looking planning including cashflow, liquidity and scenario analysis.

Job description

A new Financial Controller is required to join a Private Credit focussed investment group based in the West end of London.

This is a newly created, senior role, offering full ownership of the finance function across a multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction group.

The Role

You’ll lead the finance function day-to-day, taking full responsibility for reporting, analysis, and stakeholder management across lending, brokerage, real-estate and operating-asset activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and run the finance function across the Group
• Own Board and investor reporting, including narrative, analysis and performance drivers
• Drive commercial portfolio analysis across deals, borrowers and investors
• Manage relationships with advisers, lenders and external service providers
• Lead financial delivery on development activities (drawdowns, covenants, monitoring surveyors, lender coordination)
• Own forward-looking planning including cashflow, liquidity and scenario analysis
• Own the delivery of all tax, regulatory and statutory obligations, ensuring technical accuracy, timeliness and completeness across the Group
• Own and lead the audit process, acting as the primary point of contact for auditors and taking responsibility for audit delivery
• Develop systems, controls and reporting to support a growing, increasingly complex business
• Operate as the senior finance lead, reducing reliance on the CFO
