Job summary

Resourcery Group Limited is seeking a Financial Controller in Corwen to lead the finance function across multiple entities and growth stages. You will provide strategic financial guidance to owners and senior management, and supervise budgeting, forecasting and reporting with clear commentary.

You will partner with operations, challenge procedures and strengthen controls while developing the small finance team and improving systems such as Xero.

Qualifications

• Ideally CIMA/ACCA qualified; experience-based applicants welcome.
• Excellent communication skills within SME environments.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong numerical capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the finance function across multiple entities and growth phases.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Deliver monthly management accounts with commentary and recommendations.
• Analyse sales, margins and costs to drive profitability improvements.
• Manage cash flow, working capital and funding requirements.
• Assess investments, pricing strategies and growth plans.
• Maintain banking relationships and oversee borrowing facilities.
• Strengthen controls and oversee tax, payroll and year-end processes.
• Lead a small finance team with a practical, hands-on approach.
• Improve finance systems and reporting (Xero).
• Partner with operational teams to explain performance to non-finance colleagues.

Financial Controller | Corwen | £50,000 - £60,000

An opportunity to join a remarkable business operating in a truly unique environment. This position will provide overall financial management of multiple entities in differing stages of development/growth phases.

You will be expected to provide operational and commercial support to senior stakeholders within the group as well as challenging existing procedures!

• Lead the finance function, providing strategic and commercial guidance to the owners and senior management team.


• Oversee budgeting, forecasting and financial planning across multiple business areas.


• Deliver timely monthly management accounts, with clear commentary and practical recommendations.


• Analyse sales, margins, departmental costs and profitability to identify opportunities for improvement.


• Manage cash flow, working capital and funding requirements.


• Assess investment opportunities, pricing strategies and growth plans through robust financial analysis.


• Maintain banking relationships and oversee borrowing facilities and funding arrangements.


• Strengthen financial controls and oversee tax, payroll, statutory reporting and year-end processes.


• Lead and develop a small finance team, taking a practical, hands-on approach.


• Improve finance systems and reporting processes, with working knowledge of Xero.


• Partner with operational and commercial teams, explaining financial performance clearly to non-finance colleagues.


• Bring senior finance experience within a multi-site or diverse business, ideally across retail, hospitality, food or agriculture.
