Financial Controller - Leading Construction Company Blackpool
Salary: 45-50k
Reports To: Finance Director

Are you ready to take the lead in a pivotal finance role with one of the North West's most respected construction companies? My client is on the lookout for an experienced Financial Controller to join our Blackpool-based head office and play a critical part in driving financial excellence across the business.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Leading and mentoring a team of 8 transactional finance professionals, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations and continuous development.
• Taking ownership of monthly management accounts, providing clear and accurate financial insight to support strategic decision-making.
• Managing the fixed asset register, ensuring compliance and up-to-date reporting across all company assets.
• Acting as the main point of contact for HMRC and external auditors, ensuring all statutory obligations are met.
• Working closely with the Finance Director on a variety of ad hoc projects, including process improvement, systems upgrades, and strategic planning initiatives.

What We're Looking For:

• A fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), with proven experience in a similar Financial Controller or senior finance role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing and motivating high-performing teams.
• Hands-on experience in producing management accounts and managing fixed assets.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
