Finance Assistant | £28,000–£33,000 | Wymondham | Automotive Technology

Are you an experienced Finance Assistant with strong bookkeeping skills and a passion for accuracy? Are you looking for a role where your qualifications and experience are truly valued?

If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you to join a dynamic and supportive finance team based near Wymondham as they look to hire experienced finance assistants who are keen to progress in their career.

About the Role:

As a key member of the finance team, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Maintaining and reconciling the sales and purchase ledgers
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns
  • Posting journals and assisting with month-end processes
  • Performing bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc finance and administrative tasks

Role Requirements:

  • Experience in a Finance or Bookkeeping role
  • A solid understanding of core bookkeeping principles
  • Proficiency with accounting software
  • AAT Level 3/4, ICB, or IAB qualified (or equivalent)
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical skills
  • A proactive and organised approach, with great communication skills

Bonus points if you have:

  • IFS experience
  • Experience posting journals and assisting with management accounts
