Finance Assistant

Role Scope:

  • Full time hours - 37.5 per week
  • A fixed-term agreement for 6 months
  • Remote working opportunity

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail orientated Finance Assistant to join a busy Financial Services – Transacting team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with NHS financial experience who is seeking to build their skills and contribute to a vital function within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform month end reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Assist with the preparation and processing of budget journals.
  • Create and maintain supplier invoice templates.
  • Raise and manage purchase orders (PO’s) in line with policies.
  • Undertake general financial administrative duties such as data entry.

  • Competitive Pay (AFC Band 3) £24,071 - £25,674 per annum pro-rata, dependant on your experience and the number of years you have worked in the NHS.

Experience and qualifications required include:

  • Previous experience in an NHS financial setting.

  • Experience with month end processes and financial reconciliations.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to details.
