Role Purpose

We are looking for someone who’s looking to start to build a career in Finance. You don’t need to have had any particular experience.

Instead, we are searching for a forward thinking, ambitious person, who can multi-task, and is eager to learn and evolve. The day to day will be fast paced and demanding, as you’d expect from a rapidly growing company.

Your job will be at the forefront of Finance at the Company, and with a very small Finance team you will be exposed to many areas of Finance in a short space of time.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting into the Finance Manager, your main responsibilities in this role include:

  • Preparation of monthly sales invoices
  • Reconciliation of sales invoices
  • Responsibility for setting up new suppliers on the Accounting System
  • Input of transactions into the Accounting System
  • Processing employee expenses
  • Preparing the weekly payment runs
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Assisting preparation and submitting VAT returns
  • Credit Control
  • Assisting with payroll
  • Assisting with Statutory Accounts preparation and aiding the annual Audit
  • Bring forwards and implement ideas to automate and scale the Finance Function

On-the-job training will be provided to ensure you are fully supported in your development.

Skills and Requirements

  • Reasonable Microsoft Excel skills (e.g. basic formulas like SUM, COUNT etc)
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Able to balance learning with the day-to-day requirements of the job
