Join the Close Brothers Finance Team as a subject matter expert on historical motor finance commission arrangements, providing support to various teams within the business. The ideal team member will have previous experience in ensuring appropriate financial support, insight, and rigor, along with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the project team on key finance requirements, including data accuracy, financial calculations, and financial insight.
  • Collaborate with the complaints and financial ombudsman service (FOS) teams to ensure clear and appropriate financial support.
  • Update the Motor leadership team on relevant project matters.
  • Work closely with the Financial Controller and Head of FP&A to meet financial reporting and audit requirements.
  • Assist with ad-hoc analysis and developments released by the FCA.
  • Support other team members and the wider Bank team to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide support on finance, accounting, and general project aspects.
  • Manage project risks from a financial perspective effectively.
  • Ensure adherence to Governance and Compliance requirements, including all reporting activities required by Regulatory Bodies.

  • The ability to work independently in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Skills to translate large data sets into useful information and actionable insights.
  • Experience in taking ownership, prioritizing, and managing multiple activities to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence others.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT WOULD BE A PLUS IF YOU HAVE:

  • Background or knowledge of motor finance commission arrangements.
  • Experience or knowledge of the motor finance industry.
