Job Opportunity: Part-Qualified Financial Accountant

Axon Moore is proud to partner with a highly successful, PE-backed business based in Chorley, experiencing exceptional growth through strategic acquisitions. Due to this expansion, the company is seeking to appoint a part-qualified Financial Accountant to join their dynamic Group finance team.

This newly created role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with and be mentored by two experienced senior finance professionals. It is ideal for a part-qualified or finalist candidate with an entrepreneurial spirit, a driven mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Proficiency in Excel and a solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping are essential.

Responsibilities include:

1. Preparation of Statutory Accounts
2. Assisting with the preparation of monthly board packs
3. Assisting with balance sheet reconciliation
4. Handling audit and tax queries
5. Budgeting and forecasting
6. Post-acquisition progress reporting and preparation of completion accounts
7. Preparation and review of earnout calculations
8. Assisting with the preparation of FCA returns
9. Supporting the delivery of other ad-hoc projects as required
