Job summary

Orbital is seeking a Financial Controller to lead the accounting function, ensuring accurate entries and a smooth month-end close for the group. You’ll support AP, payroll, consolidations, and statutory reporting across multiple entities, while maintaining strong controls and data-driven processes.

You will work with ERP systems, drive process improvements, and contribute to a fast-growing fintech environment that blends traditional finance with digital assets.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
• 3+ years of financial accounting experience with month-end close across multiple entities.
• Strong technical skills and financial reporting knowledge.
• Experience with ERP systems and modern accounting tools.
• Love of data, technology and analytics.
• Ability to contribute individually and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficient with MS & Google suites.

Responsibilities

• Drive accurate accounting, month-end and year-end close activities across entities.
• Support consolidation for management reporting and statutory reporting.
• Ensure proper accounting of assets, liabilities, income and expenditures.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Prepare weekly pay runs and manage AP software.
• Oversee cash management and timely payment of invoices.
• Support year-end statutory accounts and audit with external parties.
• Maintain audit schedules and resolve open points.
• Maintain month-end close tracker and support process improvements across finance.
