Job summary

Accountable Recruitment are working with a leading international business to recruit a Financial Accountant for their UK finance team in Warrington. The role offers flexible hybrid working with a salary of £50,000–£55,000 per year.

The ideal candidate is ACA/ACCA qualified from a Top 10 firm, with strong Excel skills and external audit exposure. You will produce monthly financial reporting, support audits across entities, manage audit schedules, VAT/CIS returns, and contribute to wider finance

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualification gained within a Top 10 UK accountancy practice
• Exposure to external audit engagements
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Advanced Excel capability and strong general systems knowledge
• The ability to build relationships across finance and non-finance teams

Responsibilities

• Producing and reviewing monthly financial reporting information
• Supporting the delivery of group and statutory audits across multiple entities
• Preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor requests
• Assisting with external reporting requirements and financial compliance processes
• Supporting the preparation and submission of VAT and CIS returns
• Providing assistance on technical accounting matters where required
• Contributing to wider finance initiatives, business projects and tender support activities
• Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure reporting deadlines are met

This position is ideally suited to a qualified ACA or ACCA professional from a Top 10 accountancy firm who is keen to gain broad exposure within a large corporate environment. Working as part of an established financial reporting team, you'll play a key role in statutory reporting, audit coordination, compliance activities and wider finance projects, while building strong relationships with stakeholders across the UK business.
