Qualifications

• Qualified ACA or ACCA.
• Experience in practice, audit or large complex organisation.
• Strong financial reporting and technical accounting knowledge.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel capabilities and confidence with finance systems.
• Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Proactive with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Mentoring or supervisory experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage key aspects of the month-end and year-end reporting cycle.
• Support the production of accurate and timely group financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards including FRS102.
• Act as a key finance contact for external auditors and support the annual audit process.
• Investigate and explain variances across reporting streams.
• Partner with stakeholders across finance and the wider business to improve reporting accuracy.
• Review financial performance, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
• Maintain robust balance sheet controls and reconciliations.
• Support finance transformation initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Identify and implement efficiencies across finance processes and controls.

This is a fantastic opportunity for aqualified ACA or ACCA professional seeking their first move from practice. Reporting into senior finance leadership, you'll gain exposure across group reporting, financial controls, audit, process improvement and business partnering activities.
