Job summary

Accountancy Action - Your Specialist Finance Recruitment Partner is partnering with a growing organisation to recruit a Financial Accountant to own financial reporting, statutory compliance and controls. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will ensure the integrity of financial information while supporting the business with accurate reporting and insightful analysis.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (essential).
• Strong technical accounting knowledge including UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Experience with financial reporting, statutory accounts and audit.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare statutory accounts and coordinate external audits.
• Maintain robust financial controls and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide insights to stakeholders and support budgeting and forecasting.

We are partnering with a growing and dynamic organisation to recruit a Financial Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to take ownership of financial reporting, statutory compliance, and controls within a fast-paced environment

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial information while supporting the wider business through accurate reporting and insightful analysis

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Lead the month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare statutory accounts preparation and external audit
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Maintain and improve financial controls and processes
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and oversee ledger integrity
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities
• Manage VAT, tax, and other statutory reporting requirements
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to provide financial insight and support decision-making
• Contribute to process improvement and finance transformation

About You

ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified

Strong technical accounting knowledge, including UK GAAP and/or IIFRS Experience in financial reporting, statutory accounts, and audit

• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
• Proactive, commercially minded, and solutions-focused
