Grafton Banks Finance is recruiting a Financial Accountant for a growing SME based in Sutton. The role combines management and financial accounting with project work. Advanced Excel skills and a fully qualified accounting background are essential, with a view to move into industry from practice or expand existing industry experience.

The package includes £55,000–£70,000 per year, benefits, and one remote day per week, with on-site work four days a week.

• Accurate monthly consolidated management accounts.
• Accurate year-end consolidated statutory accounts.

• Provide accurate financial information for decision making.
• Manage the year end stock process.
• Review VAT returns.
• Carry out ad-hoc project work.

Financial Accountant, Sutton.

£55,000pa - £70,000pa plus benefits package. One day per week remote working.

Grafton Banks Finance is recruiting a Financial Accountant for a growing and successful SME based in Sutton, Surrey. The role is based onsite 4 days per week with free parking and 1 day remotely. The role is a mixture of management and financial accounting as well as other project work, so its an interesting and varied opportunity for a fully qualified accountant. The role would suit someone from practice looking for a first move into industry or someone with experience already working in industry. Advanced excel skills are required along with a can-do attitude, inquisitive mindset and previous statutory accounts production experience.

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Accurate monthly consolidated management accounts
• Accurate year end consolidated statutory accounts
• Working with auditors to ensure audit is completed to agreed timeline
• Provision of corporation tax information
• Ownership of inventory reporting
• Provision of accurate financial information to support all areas of the business in decision making
• Manage the year end stock process
• Review of VAT returns
• Other ad-hoc ongoing project work
