Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Financial Accountant for a multi-entity business in the UK. The role covers management accounts, balance sheet, VAT, cashflow, and controls with clear progression toward a Finance Manager position.

The candidate should have ACA/ACCA and experience across management accounts, VAT, and audits in multi-entity environments, with a proactive, questioning approach and ownership mindset.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and month-end close.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain financial controls.
• Conduct group overhead analysis and assist with cashflow reporting.
• Deliver weekly cashflow reporting and support statutory accounts/audit work.
• Handle UK and EU VAT returns and ensure regulatory compliance.

We're working with a successful multi-entity business that is going through an exciting period of growth and investment. They're now looking for a Financial Accountant to join the team and take ownership of a broad range of financial accounting and reporting responsibilities.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants more than a transactional role, with genuine scope to develop towards a Finance Manager position.

• Monthly management accounts and month-end

Profile

This role would suit a 1st time mover from practice who has had exposure to accounts preparation and holds either the ACA or ACCA qualification. It would also suit someone industry qualified who has had experience across management accounts, VAT, multi-entity environments and experience with audit.

Most importantly, you'll be someone who takes ownership, asks questions and isn't afraid to challenge when something doesn't look right.

Job Offer

• 50,000-£55,000 per year + small annual bonus
• Flexible start/finish times but please only apply if you're happy with being in office full time with an early finish on a Friday
