Michael Page International Recruitment Limited has partnered with a growing multi-entity business to recruit a Financial Accountant. The role covers management accounts, balance sheet, VAT, cashflow and financial controls with scope to take ownership and develop towards Finance Manager.

The ideal candidate is a 1st time mover from practice with accounts prep exposure and ACA/ACCA qualification; industry-qualified candidates with multi-entity, VAT, and audit experience are welcome.

Qualifications

• 1st time mover from practice with exposure to accounts preparation.
• ACA or ACCA qualification is required or in progress.
• Experience across management accounts, VAT, multi-entity environments and audit is valued.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and perform month-end close.
• Handle balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.
• Conduct group overhead analysis and weekly cashflow reporting.
• Assist with statutory accounts and audit support.
• Manage UK and EU VAT returns and regulatory reporting.

With significant scope to take ownership and improve processes, the role offers a clear pathway towards Finance Manager while working within an ambitious and evolving finance function.

We're working with a successful multi-entity business that is going through an exciting period of growth and investment. They're now looking for a Financial Accountant to join the team and take ownership of a broad range of financial accounting and reporting responsibilities.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants more than a transactional role, with genuine scope to develop towards a Finance Manager position.

• Monthly management accounts and month-end
• Balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls

• Compliance and regulatory reporting

Profile

This role would suit a 1st time mover from practice who has had exposure to accounts preparation and holds either the ACA or ACCA qualification. It would also suit someone industry qualified who has had experience across management accounts, VAT, multi-entity environments and experience with audit.

Most importantly, you'll be someone who takes ownership, asks questions and isn't afraid to challenge when something doesn't look right.

Job Offer

• 50,000-£55,000 per year + small annual bonus
• Flexible start/finish times but please only apply if you're happy with being in office full time with an early finish on a Friday
