Job description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join our Finance team, based at our office in Slough. This is a temporary role for 24 months.

About The Role

The role involves month-end activities, financial analysis, and supporting the accounting department.

On a day-to-day basis, your responsibilities will include:

1. Month-end activities such as journals, report running, report completion, and KPI data analysis.
2. Managing accounts receivable and accounts payable reports.
3. Assisting with budgeting processes.
4. Supporting the new AR Portal project.
5. Providing operational data.
6. Reviewing invoices, supplier payments, and banking transactions.
7. Conducting weekly BACS runs.
8. Building and improving process notes.
9. Supporting ad-hoc departmental activities.

Who We Are Looking For

Ideal candidates will have:

1. A finance or numerate degree, along with an accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
2. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a desire for continuous improvement.
3. Good negotiation skills.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
5. Effective communication skills.
6. High attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Experience in a similar role.
