Are you a part-qualified accountant looking for an exciting opportunity to grow your career? AXA Partners UK & Ireland is seeking a motivated Financial Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team based in Redhill. If you embrace change, have a solid grasp of financial accounting, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this could be the perfect role for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support Audits and Statutory Accounts: Assist in gathering audit evidence and collaborating with internal and external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes for our UK and Ireland entities.
  2. Bank Reconciliations: Prepare and perform bank reconciliations for our Home and Motor business lines, assisting in resolving unreconciled items.
  3. Tax Matters: Review VAT-related topics and support the preparation of the annual corporation tax return for multiple entities, along with handling ad hoc tax queries.
  4. Promote Change: Identify weaknesses in current processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency within the finance function.
  5. Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with various stakeholders across the business to support financial activities, including data collection for month-end reviews.

Your Profile

  • Part-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a desire to learn and grow in finance.
  • Experience in collating audit evidence or coordinating audit tasks is a plus.
  • Familiarity with VAT and company tax reporting is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills for managing and analyzing large datasets.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well in a team and maintain a positive attitude.
