This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to make their first move from practice into industry -with a clear path to grow into a Financial Controller role. The role plays a trusted advisory position to the Financial Controller, taking ownership of statutory reporting and key month-end activities.

Salary: £60,000 - £65,000
Location: Northamptonshire - Hybrid working available
Contract Type: Permanent

About the Role

You'll support the financial reporting and business integration, contributing to high-quality outputs that inform strategic decision-making. This is a high-impact role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to grow within a progressive business.

Key Responsibilities:

Statutory Reporting & Financial Control

• Assist in the group audit process and prepare statutory accounts

• Manage consolidation entries for management and statutory purposes

• Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts

• Oversee VAT returns and ensure FCA compliance

• Support external tax advisors and manage internal tax processes

Business Support & Analysis

• Partner with the management accounts team to improve reporting and analysis

• Deliver financial insight at practice/unit level

• Lead annual contract reconciliations and manage key commercial agreements

• Drive process improvements across the finance function

About You:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA)

• Strong technical grounding in statutory reporting and consolidations

• Audit or accounting experience from practice or a technically focused industry role

• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability

• Excellent communication skills with confidence presenting to stakeholders

• Ambitious and commercially minded, with a desire to grow into a senior finance role
