Financial Accountant – Immingham – £50,000 - £58,000 + Bonus

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting statutory compliance and leading a small transactional finance team. This position offers a varied workload, exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement across the finance function.

Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate monthly management accounts in line with the reporting timetable
- Prepare and analyse monthly financial reporting, including variance analysis, sales and cost reporting, line of business performance, stock and capital expenditure
- Complete group reporting packs and provide supporting financial analysis.
- Perform monthly balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations
- Manage the fixed asset register, ensuring timely capitalisation of assets
- Support treasury and cashflow management activities
- Oversee stock accounting and reporting
- Drive continuous improvement of finance processes, systems and financial controls
- Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities when required.
- Prepare quarterly VAT returns
- Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts and year-end audit requirements
- Support corporation tax reporting and liaise with external auditors, tax advisers and key stakeholders
- Lead and support a small transactional finance team
About You
- ACCA or ACA Qualified
- Strong knowledge of statutory reporting and financial accounting principles
- Experience producing management accounts and supporting audit processes
- Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail
- IT literate including excel and ERP Systems
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business
