Job summary

Trinity House Group in Birmingham offers a challenging Financial Accountant role for newly qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA. You will contribute to PLC-level reporting, treasury processes, and international finance teams, gaining early commercial exposure in a large, multinational PLC.

The role features hybrid working (2 days in Birmingham) with broad visibility across accounting, treasury and consolidation, plus a varied workload and stakeholder interaction within a well-established organisation.

Qualifications

• Newly qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA with demonstrable accounting skills.
• Ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance audiences.
• Comfortable working at pace in a fast-moving, evolving environment.
• Confident building relationships across a large international organisation.

Responsibilities

• Turn stakeholder discussions into P&L and cashflow figures with forecasts and budgets under tight deadlines.
• Prepare monthly management packs for cost centre owners with accessible commentary.
• Build relationships across the group, including overseas finance teams.
• Partner with Treasury and lead a monthly settlements process.
• Administer multiple finance systems, handle urgent queries, monitor risks and controls.
• Manage Head Office entities with month-end uploads, forecasts and statutory accounts.
• Support VAT return preparation during maternity cover.
• Assist in introducing a new consolidation process across UK entities.

Birmingham | Hybrid (2 days per week, typically Tuesday and Wednesday)

We are working exclusively with a large, complex, multinational PLC, is looking for a newly qualified Financial Accountant to join their finance function in Birmingham.

This is a genuinely varied role, giving exposure to PLC level reporting, Treasury processes and international finance teams. It would suit someone who enjoys variety and wants real commercial and stakeholder exposure early in their post qualified career.

What You'll Be Doing

• Turning stakeholder discussions into P&L and cashflow figures, producing forecasts, budgets and variance analysis with supporting commentary, often to tight deadlines
• Preparing monthly management account packs for cost centre owners, providing budgetary support in a way that's accessible to non finance stakeholders
• Building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across the group, including overseas finance teams
• Partnering closely with Treasury, including leading a monthly settlements process
• Acting as administrator across several finance systems, managing urgent queries and monitoring risks and controls
• Managing a portfolio of Head Office entities, including month end uploads, forecasts and annual statutory accounts
• Supporting on VAT return preparation during a period of maternity cover
• Playing a key role in introducing a new consolidation process across UK entities

What We're Looking For
