Job summary

Trinity House Group Ltd in Birmingham is seeking a Senior Finance Assistant to join a high-performing finance team. This role focuses on management accounting, finance business partnering, budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting to support financial decision-making across departments.

The ideal candidate will be near-qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA with experience producing management accounts, analysing performance, and collaborating with budget holders.

Salary: £33,000 - 40,0000 + Benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and commercially minded Senior Finance Assistant to join a high-performing finance team within a large and complex organisation.

This role is ideal for a part-qualified accountant looking to develop their career within management accounting, finance business partnering, and financial analysis. You will work closely with operational stakeholders, supporting budgeting, forecasting, monthly reporting, and financial decision-making across multiple departments.

If you have experience producing management accounts, analysing financial performance, and partnering with budget holders, this could be an excellent next step.

Key Responsibilities

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience within a finance assistant, assistant management accountant, or management accounting role
• Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent
• Strong experience producing management reports and financial analysis
• Experience supporting budgeting and forecasting activities
• Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders
• Commercial awareness and strong analytical ability
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines

Desirable Experience

• Finance business partnering exposure
• Experience within large or complex organisations
• Process improvement and reporting enhancement experience
