Job summary

Marks Sattin is partnering with a leading global life sciences and diagnostics organisation undergoing a significant divestiture and finance transformation. The role supports a project-focused finance team to establish a new standalone organisation, including new legal entities, reporting structures and accounting processes.

Key responsibilities include preparing financial statements, supporting M&A and separation activities, and driving balance sheet improvements.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualification or finalist preferred
• Strong technical accounting background with financial reporting experience
• Experience in M&A accounting and Purchase Price Allocation (PPA) highly desirable
• Strong balance sheet reconciliation and P&L analysis skills
• Ability to work across technical accounting and project-related activities
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

• Support the establishment of new legal entities, accounting structures and finance processes
• Prepare and review balance sheets, P&L statements and financial reporting

• Assist with opening balance sheets and validation of transferred balances
• Manage intercompany accounting, reconciliations and Group reporting
• Support general ledger mapping, journals and consolidations
• Assist with finance systems implementation, testing and transition activities
• Identify accounting risks, resolve discrepancies and drive process improvements
• Collaborate with Finance, Tax, Treasury and project teams throughout the transformation

• Support the establishment of new legal entities, accounting structures and finance processes
• Prepare and review balance sheets, P&L statements and financial reporting
• Support M&A, divestiture and separation accounting activities
• Assist with opening balance sheets and validation of transferred balances
• Manage intercompany accounting, reconciliations and Group reporting
• Support general ledger mapping, journals and consolidations

Successful Candidate

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA Qualifed or Finalist preferred
