Manpower, Inc. is seeking a Financial Accountant to support a major divestiture and separation programme in Basingstoke. The team will establish new entities, set up intercompany structures and financial controls while maintaining day-to-day accounting.
The role involves flexible project work across holding company accounting, entity setup, consolidation, and Group reporting, with a focus on accuracy and proactive issue resolution during the transition.
Location: Basingstoke
Shifts: 08:00 - 17:00
Pay Rate: Financial Accountant II: £26.44 - £31.25 per hour. Financial Accountant III / IV: £33.65 - £38.46 per hour.
The business is going through a major divestiture and separation programme, moving from its current operating model to a new standalone organisation. This includes setting up a new legal and finance structure, including holding companies, BidCos, operating entities and any other companies required within the new Group.
To support this transition, finance processes, reporting structures, systems, opening balance sheets, intercompany arrangements and financial controls need to be established and stabilised.
An experienced Finance and Accounting team is required to provide additional support during the period between separation and the full implementation of the future-state Finance function. The team will help ensure that day-to-day accounting and reporting continue smoothly while supporting the set-up of the new organisation.
This is not intended to be a traditional finance team with permanent ownership of specific processes. Instead, the team will provide flexible support, helping to establish new entities, resolve issues, identify risks and support accounting activities until the new organisation is fully operational.
The team will work closely with Finance, Tax, Treasury, project teams, systems teams, external providers and other business stakeholders. They will be expected to challenge assumptions, identify risks and proactively drive issues through to resolution.
The business is seeking a provider to supply a team of approximately 6-7 experienced Finance and Accounting professionals to support the divestiture, entity set-up and stabilisation programme.
A key requirement is flexibility. Team members should not be restricted to narrow job roles and must be comfortable moving between project work and hands-on accounting activities. They should be proactive in investigating issues, identifying risks, asking questions and taking ownership of solutions as programme priorities evolve.
