Job summary

PwC UK is seeking a Finance Process Improvement specialist to lead engagements across client sites, driving efficiency and value through process optimisation, automation and AI-enabled insights. You will partner with senior finance stakeholders, review close processes, identify bottlenecks and deliver practical improvements, while mentoring project teams and contributing to proposals.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent qualification required.
• Experience delivering finance process improvement or operational efficiency initiatives.
• Ability to lead projects, teams and senior stakeholder relationships.
• Translate business challenges into practical finance solutions.
• Strong interest in technology, automation and AI for finance improvements.
• Experience with finance systems, automation, process mining, data analytics or similar tech-enabled initiatives.
• Experience in-house or in a consulting environment.
• Comfort working across a varied client portfolio, primarily in private sector.

Responsibilities

• Lead finance process improvement, operational efficiency and change delivery engagements.
• Manage client relationships and act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders.
• Review finance processes, identify bottlenecks and recommend practical improvements.
• Identify opportunities for automation, AI and technology-enabled efficiencies.
• Lead project teams across PwC and client sites, ensuring high-quality delivery.
• Work closely with technology specialists and cross-functional teams.
• Support delivery of finance technology, automation and process improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to proposals, client development and growth of the Reporting Optimisation team.
