Job summary

Partner Financial is guiding a leading international consumer business through a finance transformation, strengthening controls, and improving reporting with automation. The Finance Project Lead will be a hands-on accountant driving critical projects across the finance function.

Qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent, strong technical accounting and influence across reporting, controls and balance sheet processes are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA or equivalent.
• Strong technical accounting and financial controls expertise.
• Proven experience delivering finance transformation, process improvement or control projects.
• Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical capabilities.
• Strong understanding of financial controls, reporting and balance sheet processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proactive, hands-on and solutions-focused in changing environments.

Responsibilities

• Drive improvements across financial reporting, controls and processes to increase efficiency, accuracy and transparency.
• Develop and enhance balance sheet reporting with emphasis on automation and data quality.
• Design and improve management information for clearer financial insight, including Travel & Expenses reporting.
• Review existing finance processes to identify control weaknesses and opportunities for efficiency.
• Develop and maintain Risk & Control Matrices and mitigate key financial risks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to strengthen the control environment and ensure fit-for-purpose processes.
• Provide hands-on support during month-end close for timely financial reporting.
• Support internal and external audit activity with documentation and controls in place.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive finance activities and improve reporting quality.
• Partner with finance and business teams to implement new processes, systems and controls.
• Monitor impact of process changes and seek further efficiency improvements.
