Job summary

Vermelo is seeking an Internal Reporting Manager to lead the finance function’s month-end close across multiple entities. You will build and coach a high-performing team, push for automation, and strengthen controls within a growing insurance-focused group.

You will report to the Group Financial Controller and work in a hybrid setup near Gatwick, driving process improvements and system enhancements to support scalable finance operations.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
• Experience leading month-end close for multi-entity groups.
• Knowledge of UK GAAP/FRS 102/103 advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end close process and deliver accurate management accounts.
• Coach and develop a team of ~8 accountants.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes and automate activities.
• Drive improvements to finance systems and support transformation projects.
• Maintain a robust control environment with reconciliations and approvals.
• Support internal and external audits and strengthen control governance.
