Job summary

Pear Talent is representing an established Financial Services business and has an excellent opportunity for a Finance Operations Manager. You’ll report to the Head of Finance Operations, lead a team of five, and oversee all financial accounting, finance system interfaces and operations (expenses, AP, treasury), ensuring accuracy and timely month-end close.

This high-impact role supports the Finance leadership team, collaborates with the financial reporting, FP&A and actuarial teams, and partners

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Strong background in financial accounting, financial control and finance operations.
• Treasury/banking operations experience is advantageous.
• Experience of implementing control enhancements is advantageous.
• Experience with reporting processes and system improvements is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and mentor the Financial Control team.
• Oversee ledger close processes, journal reviews and reconciliations.
• Act as SME for ledger feeds from multiple source systems with controls.
• Own the financial control pack including balance sheet and income statement analysis.
• Ensure robust controls and conduct regular control testing and risk reviews.
• Identify opportunities to streamline, automate and improve processes; define target state.
• Collaborate with Group Reporting, FP&A and Technical Accounting teams.
• Manage operational tax submissions including VAT and regulatory reporting.
• Participate in business projects and strategic initiatives.
