Job summary

Michael Page is supporting a housing organisation in Hertfordshire, delivering a 12-month fixed-term contract for a Systems Accountant. The role leads finance systems optimisation, data flow mapping and GL integrity, with a strong focus on Power BI reporting and collaboration with IT.

Qualifications

• We require ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent qualification.
• Experience as a Systems Accountant or Finance Systems role.
• Strong understanding of GL structures and system integrations.
• Experience developing reporting solutions with Power BI.
• Ability to analyse, manipulate and interpret complex data.
• Experience working with IT teams and non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead review and optimisation of finance systems and interfaces.
• Support integration of finance and operational systems after merger.
• Document data flows across the systems landscape.
• Ensure integrity of General Ledger structures and integrations.
• Develop reporting capability using Power BI and other tools.
• Collaborate with Finance and IT to resolve system issues.
• Identify opportunities to automate reporting and streamline finance processes.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer for sustainability.
